While the festive season is usually a joyous time of celebrating with loved ones, it can be extremely stressful for many of us. What gifts to get? What outfit to wear to that party? How to look good and avoid piling on extra kilos? The list goes on. Instead of feeling like you had a well-deserved break after surviving a whole year of ups and downs, many of us end up feeling in desperate need of one. If you feel close to burning out, fret not, help is on the way. In fact, we’ve reached out to three amazing ladies, Jayne Tham, Maybeline Sim and Grace Ciao, to share with us about their personal highlights of 2018 along with tips to look and feel their best this festive season. Read on to find out more!

#1: Jayne Tham: Show yourself some self-love

Many of you may already be familiar with multi-hyphenate Jayne Tham. Known for her girl-next-door charm and social media presence, she’s a marketing manager by profession, lifestyle influencer, wife of a local radio DJ and recently, mum-to-be. When we had a chat with Jayne, she was just four weeks away from her due date! Upon asking what 2018 was like for her, she admitted that it was quite a tough journey especially at the start of her pregnancy. Not only was this chapter of her life completely new to her, she had to learn how to slow down and take care of herself while juggling different commitments. So, how exactly is she celebrating this festive season? Jayne shares: “I’m not only celebrating my loved ones but I’m also taking time to give myself some self-love too.” Whether you’re a mum-to-be or a someone who wears many hats like Jayne, set aside some time to relax and show yourself some TLC.

Jayne’s Festive Style: Casual as she usually heads to her family and friends’ homes during Christmas.
Jayne’s Festive Tip: Keep accessorising chic and minimal – you wouldn’t want your dangly bracelets in the food!

If you just got hitched like Maybeline or have family or close friends getting married, you will be able to understand the blood, sweat and tears that goes into the process of planning for a wedding and moving into a new home. Maybeline recounts: “All these weren’t easy. These steps will change my life forever and all I want is to celebrate these personal moments.” Similarly, don’t let this festive season pass without reflecting on your personal achievements and celebrating them in your own special way! You deserve it.
